Artist`s book
A rereading of The Book of War – a military treatise written in the 4th century B.C. by the Chinese strategist known as Sun Tzu. Composed of thirteen parts that deal with different aspects of diplomacy and battles, the general`s text forms a panorama of strategies to be followed in war.
The artist`s book The Art of War is composed of cover, back cover and 13 foils printed in inkjet and linoleum engraving in Washi-type Japanese paper. Texts drawn entries in the Encyclopædia Britannica and images elaborated works of art, movies and pop culture, form the images printed in this work`s pages.
The volume measures 21.5 cm x 10.5 cm, and the pages were folded and bound in the Japanese manner.
